Who doesn’t like a delicious slice of warm toasted bread with melted butter? Or, if you’re not a fan of dairy butter, how about some peanut butter with drizzled honey? Well, if you’re any sort of toast lover, let me tell you a little secret… (whispers) “You can toast bread in an air fryer.” That’s right; this handy dandy appliance can toast and fry! Now, let’s see what we need to do to make some great-tasting air fryer toast.
Insert Bread into the Basket and Start the Air Fryer
The first thing you need to do is place some bread flat into the basket. It’s not necessary to preheat, and if you do, you may end up with lesser-quality toast. Once you return the basket, set the temperature dial to 400° F, and start it up. Set the timer for 4 minutes and then patiently wait for that lovely “ding!”
Remove the Bread and Add Toppings
Now that your bread is toasted, all left is to remove it and add toppings. I’ve already mentioned a couple of choices, but here’s a list of many more if you want to add a little creativity to your palate:
- Butter, Cinnamon, and Sugar
- Peanut Butter and Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
- Lettuce and Mayo
I hope this simple little guide came in handy for you. Give your air fryer a chance next time you want to make toast. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
